Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal on Thursday said good health and sound mind lead to success.
Launching Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 'Fit India' Movement' here, Sonowal said the movement organised on Khel Diwas is a tribute to Dhyan Chand, a great sportsperson who was born on this day and mesmerised the world with his fitness, stamina and hockey stick.
"Good health and sound mind lead to success. If a person enjoys good health and sound mind, he or she can lead a disciplined life to enable himself or herself to contribute to nation building", said Sonowal.
He also stressed on transforming the 'Fit India' Movement' into a mass movement and generate awareness for sound health and mind.
Sonowal also administered pledge of fitness to the people and pointed out that the ' Fit India' Movement' is a nation-wide movement which has given an opportunity to 130 crore people of the country to be healthy.
