Sonowal urges people to follow ideals of religious leaders

Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal today urged people to follow the ideals of great religious leaders who had set the foundations of a value-based society.
Sonowal, who participated in the Guru Nanak Jayanti celebrations in the city, also appealed to the people to strengthen unity and brotherhood and work with honesty and integrity for the development of Assam.
He called upon the people to emulate the teachings of the Sikh Guru to establish an ideal society and highlighted the virtues of the Sikh religion such as discipline, punctuality and courage.
He also offered prayers at the Gurudwara here for peace and progress of the state.
