The motion picture giant's computer systems in New York City, Culver City, CA and overseas offices were shut down by a cyber intrusion on Monday, reported BBC online.
A spokesperson for the corporation said of the incident: "Sony Pictures Entertainment experienced a system disruption, which we are working diligently to resolve."
The perpetrators of the attack and their motivation are also unknown at this time.
