Soon monthly medical camps at Rajasthan jails

Regular monthly medical camps will soon be held at Rajasthan jails with an aim to provide better medical and health facilities to prison inmates.
Rajasthan Home Minister Gulab Chand Kataria today directed the Jail Department officials to conduct monthly medical camps in the jails and provide parking space for an ambulance in the jail premises.
He also directed the officials to provide better medical and health facilities to prison inmates.
Chairing a review meeting with the officials, Kataria asked the officials to start the high security wing at Ajmer prison and complete construction of other jail buildings so that more number of prisoners can be accommodated.
The jail department was also asked to prepare a proposal for raising wages for convicted prisoners as well as for the jail staff and send to the state government for necessary approval, according to a release.
