Soren hopes Centre's development initiatives would flow

Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren today expressed hope that Centre's developmental initiatives would flow amidst "social and communal harmony".
"As the developmental projects unveiled today by the prime minister, I understand it will be (covered) irrespective of religion and caste as Jharkhand is a backward state and tribals are in poverty," Soren said while addressing a meeting in Ranchi where Prime Minister Narendra Modi was present.
When a section of the crowd booed and hooted Soren when he began his speech, the chief minister sought to remind the crowd to understand the dignity of the stage where the prime minister was sitting.
Congratulating Modi on behalf of the people in Jharkhand for his win in Lok Sabha elections and complimenting him for coming to Jharkhand within two months of his coming to power, Soren expressed the hope that the poor could prosper following the developmental projects in social and communal harmony.
Saying that the state expected cooperation and assistance from the Centre, Soren said his appeal to the prime minister was to stay vigilant against growth of capitalism.
The chief minister suggested for a policy for uniform rate on potatoes and onions, which are now being sold in exorbitant price.
