Delhi University's Ramjas College which is completing 100 years of establishment tomorrow has come up with a sound and light show detailing journey of the institution over the century.
The 25-minute-long show has portrayed history of Ramjas college as "a virtual reality from pre-independence era to the turbulent period of partition and eventual growth of college post-Independence".
"The show was conceptualised three months back when we decided to prepare script of a show detailing the journey of Ramjas college since its establishment in 1917. It basically features the story of the institution through narration and dramatision of events using sound and light effects," said Hardeep Kaur, Professor at Ramjas' Zoology department and coordinator of the show, said.
"The story begins from when the college was established in Daryaganj and how it later moved to Anand Parbat where Mahatama Gandhi had visited Kedarnath (founder of the college) and inaugurated the new campus," she added.
To mark the 100 years celebrations the college has planned three sound and light shows from January 16-19.
