Referring to his recent visit to Singapore, the Chief Minister said public safety was a top priority in the city- state and that is why it has developed by leaps and bounds.
"We will emulate the Singapore system here," he said while addressing Telangana State Police Commemoration Day parade at Goshamahal here
"Development of any state or country depends on the law and order situation there," he said.
"Police force is playing a vital role in maintaining law and order, and there is a need to keep up this effort," he said.

Services rendered by police personnel, who sacrifice their lives for security of citizens, are invaluable, he said.
On the occasion, he announced that daily allowance for police personnel on bandobust duty has been hiked to Rs 250 per day from Rs 90.
The Chief Minister also announced revising the ceiling of medical reimbursement under 'Arogya Bhadratha' scheme from Rs 1 lakh to Rs 5 lakh and from Rs 2.5 lakh to Rs 7.5 lakh (for different posts) besides biennial free health check up for police personnel (over 40 years).
