South Africa envoy F K Morule calls on Punjab Governor

Punjab Governor Shivraj V Patil today pitched for collaboration in the field of food processing sector between South Africa and the state.
A four-member delegation led by South Africa envoy F K Morule today called on Patil here today.
Stating that India enjoys mature bilateral relations and strong socio-cultural linkages with South Africa, Patil invited the South African delegation to set up a joint venture in the field of food processing sector.
"Punjab has achieved a major breakthrough in the agriculture sector and allied fields and state is emerging as a progressive and vibrant investment destination," Patil said.
Patil further pointed out that there was a big scope in the area of solar energy.

Bold initiatives have already been taken for the generation of more power with focus on tapping solar energy to meet growing demand in different sector of economy, he said.
