South Point wins gold in CBSE National Chess Championship

South Point High School has won Gold in both Team and Individual categories of Under-19 boys in the CBSE Inter-School National Chess Championship held at Gwalior from November 1-4.

Mitrabha Guha of the school won the Winners Trophy in the individual category.

There were 17 teams in the under-19 boys' category, the institution said in a statement Monday.

In the under-14 Boys' category, South Point won the Silver medal.

A total of 21 school teams participated in the U-14, the statement said.
