South-west monsoon advances further in Bihar

The South-west monsoon advanced in more parts of Bihar today much to the happiness of farmers, a MET Bulletin said.
Light to moderate rainfall was reported in Kishanganj, Katihar, Nawada, Sheohar and Jehanabad districts, it said.
Gaya remained the hottest place in Bihar with maximum temperature of 39.3 degrees Celsius followed by 37.8 degrees Celsius in Patna, 36.6 degrees Celsius in Bhagalpur and 34.4 degrees Celsius in Purnea.
The weather office forecast thunderstorm with rain or light rain in the next 24 to 48 hours.
