To follow up on activities undertaken on World Yoga Day today, the Southern Naval Command will continue to conduct Yoga awareness programmes in the coming weeks and months, the Navy said in a release.
"The Indian Navy led by Naval Headquarters at Delhi and all the commands including the Andaman & Nicobar Command, ships
and establishments across the country are fully geared up and committed to adopt Yoga in the day-to-day life," it said.
Vice Admiral Sunil Lanba, Flag Officer Commanding-in-chief Southern Naval Command, along with Reena Lanba, President Naval Wives Welfare Association (Southern Region) participated in the camp attended by over 800 persons.

Yoga expert Nuthan from 'Me Met Me Yoga Centre' at Panampilly Nagar here conducted the camp.
Various asanas, pranayamas, conditioning exercises and breathing practices were introduced to the naval community.
On completion of the sessions, Vice Admiral Lanba spoke about the virtues of yoga, its benefits, and emphasised on the need to practice yoga and its integration into daily life for sustained good health.
In addition, INS Dronacharya and National Armament Depot (NAD) Aluva also conducted similar activities such as yoga awareness walk and beach yoga at Fort Kochi and Aluva spread over four days, a Navy release said.
It also said all Indian Navy ships including those at sea and away on Overseas Deployment have also actively celebrated the day at sea.
The Indian Navy's Sail Training Ship Tarangini, on a voyage to Europe and presently at Malta, has conducted yoga programmes in consultation with Indian Mission and Civil Administration to spread awareness about Yoga and its benefits among residents of Malta, the release said.
