Soyabean oil edges up on scattered buying

Soyabean oil prices traded higher by Rs 50 per quintal at the wholesale market today following scattered buying from vanaspati millers and retailers.
However, castor oil in the non-edible section, eased on reduced offtake by consuming industries.
Traders said some buying from vanaspati millers and retailers led to rise in soyabean oil prices.
In the national capital, soyabean refined mill delivery (Indore) and soyabean degum (Kandla) oils were up by Rs 50 each to Rs 6,700 and Rs 6,400 per quintal respectively.
On the other hand, castor oil in the non-edible section, declined by Rs 50 to Rs 9,600-9,700 per quintal on subdued demand from consuming industries.
