Soybean futures ease on global cues

Soybean prices fell by Rs 22 to Rs 3,070 per quintal in future trading today as operators were off-loading their holdings amid weak global overseas cues.
According to marketmen, the prices of soybean fell here in future trading due to weakness in (soybean) rates in the international markets as well.
At the National Commodity and Derivative Exchange counter, soybean delivery for near contract February month slipped by Rs 22 or 0.71 per cent to Rs 3,070 per quintal, with the business turnover of 70,280 open interest.
Meanwhile, most active current contract January month fell by Rs 18 or 0.59 per cent to Rs 3,024 per quintal, with an open interest of 1,05,130 lots.
