Soybean prices declined by Rs 20 to Rs 3,781 per quintal in futures trade today after cutting down of holdings by participants in line with weak overseas leads.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, soybean delivery for the second contract July slipped by Rs 20 or 0.53 per cent to Rs 3,781 per quintal, clocking an open interest of 65,100 lots.
Likewise, the delivery of the most traded first contract June declined by Rs 19 or 0.50 per cent to Rs 3,747 per quintal, in business turnover of 1,36,700 open lots.
Market players said traders trimmed holdings amid downbeat overseas cues.
