Market players said traders were interested to buy back their sold bets at existing levels in view of robust trend overseas, which ascertained an uptick in soybean futures prices.
At the National Commodity and Derivative Exchange, soybean delivery for March contract strengthened by Rs 42, or 1.12 per cent, to Rs 3,807 per quintal with an open interest of 2,67,670 lots.
Similarly, the delivery of February contracts advanced by Rs 34, or 0.91 per cent, to Rs 3,778 per quintal clocking an open interest of 9,490 lots.
