Soybean prices resumed higher by Rs 17 to Rs 2,998 per quintal in futures trade today following increased buying by participants and firm overseas markets.
Marketmen said rising price at international markets mainly buoyed the prices in futures trading.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, soybean delivery for January gained by Rs 17, or 0.57 per cent, to Rs 2,998 per quintal, in an open interest of 18,980 lots.
The delivery for February also rose by Rs 16, or 0.53 per cent, to Rs 3,054 per quintal, clocking an open interest of 1,51,610 lots.
All ruling five contracts were traded positively on higher business volumes.
