"We assure the sufferers of floods that every possible action would be taken to reconstruct their houses and long-term measures would be taken to save the people from the ravages of floods in future," Soz said.
Soz visited several flood-ravaged areas in South Kashmir like Chichipora (Lalam) Kamad, Anchidora, Anzwalla (Anantnag), Damhal Khushipora, Kokernag and Kanjigund (Homshalibug), where the flood-affected people met him in large numbers and narrated their woes.
Soz assured the people that his Congress party would ensure that the affected people get adequate compensation for their losses.
Earlier, Soz visited the residence of Minister of Tourism G A Mir at Damhal Khushipora in South Kashmir and offered his condolences to him for the demise of a relative.
