SP declares candidates for 3 vacant Assembly seats

The Samajwadi Party today declared its candidates for three Assembly seats, which fell vacant due to death of party legislators.
Gaurav Swarup, son of Chitranjan Swarup, has been given ticket from Muzaffarnagar, while Meena Singh, wife of Rajendra Singh Rana, has been declared candidate from Deoband (Saharanpur), Party spokesman Rajendra Chowdhury said.
Anand Sen, son of Mitra Sen Yadav, has been given party ticket from Bikapur (Faizabad), he said.
Swarup and Rana were ministers in Akhilesh Yadav cabinet, while Mitra Sen was party legislator. All the three died recently.
Bypolls for these three vacant seats are to be held next year. However, Election commission have yet to declare the dates.
