Participating in a grievance day meeting held by the SP, the owner of the shop located opposite Sikkal police station complained that Inspector Velammal had bought textiles worth Rs 4,600 from his shop when she was attached to the station.
However, she had not settled the dues till date.
The SP ordered an inquiry into the complaint and found Velammal owed dues to the shop. He ordered her to settle the dues within 24 hours, police said.
