Addressing an event here, Yadav said the state government has taken concrete initiatives to create a better industrial atmosphere in UP.
He said state government has started operation of government banks which were on the verge of closure.
"The government took initiative for direct import of urea which was in the interest of farmers facing crisis," the SP leader said.
He said smooth traffic system was necessary for industrial development therefore the government has started construction of four-lane highways to connect all districts with the state capital.

He said that contrary to the claims of previous Mayawati regime, work started on several power projects under SP government and some plants have started generating power.
The minister said that the government would provide adequate power in next two years.
Chief Secretary Alok Ranjan said that the government would provide all possible help to promote investment in the state.
Principal Secretary Information and Chief Executive Officer of Agra-Lucknow Expressway Navneet Sehgal said that the government was planning to develop four new cities around the road.
