"Akhilesh Yadav government has completed four years but failed to deliver on electoral promises made to Muslims. This government is useless and incompetent. If they fail in fulfilling them in time left with them, people will teach them a lesson in the Assembly polls," Madani told newspersons here.
He said that the party had promised to put pressure on the Centre to implement Sachchar and Rangnath Misra committee recommendations on coming to power, but nothing has been done so far.
The cleric also raised the issue of Muslim reservation.
"Besides, they had also promised that Muslims would be given separate reservation like Dalits on the basis of their economic, social and educational backwardness and release innocent Muslims arrested on terror charges. But nothing has been done on any of them," he said.

The Jamiat Ulema-i-Hind leader, who earlier in the day took part in the state executive committee, said a decision has been taken to start a massive campaign against the "failure", under which meetings will be held in different parts of the state to remind the Samajwadi Party of its "unfulfilled promises".
Hailing the recent visit by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Pakistan, Madani said such efforts, if continued, will help the country.
"We all hope that India leads the entire world... Tiffs with neighbours are a major impediments in this and so any effort to end these tiffs should be supported by all of us," Madani told news-persons here.
"The unscheduled visit of Prime Minister Modi to meet Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is a commendable initiative in every manner... If this is continued it will only benefit the country," Madani said adding that atmosphere will improve with betterment in relations with neighbours.
"As of now, Modi government has failed on most of the fronts," he said.
On reports about some youth leaving the country to join terror outfits like IS, Madani said that it was essential to chalk out a short as well as long term plan to check this trend.
When asked to comment on Uttar Pradesh government denying permission to All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen led by Asaduddin Owaisi for holding any programme in the state, he said that he himself did not approve of the stand on some issues taken by Owaisi.
