Aiming at a decisive number for SP in the polls, Mulayam also told his partymen that even if SP won 40 seats, it would be able to play decisive role in formation of the next government at the Centre.
"Netaji (Mulayam) has asked us to expose Modi before the people by telling them the difference between Gujarat and Uttar Pradesh. The government there (in Gujarat) is for businessmen, and SP governemnt here is for poor, farmers and youths," an SP leader said here, quoting Mulayam's address to the party's state executive.
He asked party Lok Sabha observers to give factual reports regarding performance of the candidates highlighting shortfall in their poll preparations, and also asked partymen to shun groupism.
Yadav said that even if SP got 40 seats out of the 80 in Uttar Pradesh, it would be able to play a decisive role in the formation of the next government at the Centre.

Mulayam had yesterday given a 10-day ultimatum to party ministers and babus in UP to "mend their ways" or face the sack, and even ticked off his son Akhilesh asking him to keep distance from "sycophants".
