According to police sources, BSP supporters led by Mohammad Habib, who is son of a local leader, was coming from Allahabad when Samajwadi Party supporter Mohammad Avshaf and others complained to the police that they were being chased by BSP men.
As the police stopped the BSP supporters mid-way and brought them to the police station, the SP supporters soon arrived there and severely beat them up, sources said adding that police had to intervene.
Police station incharge Dinesh Pandey said that three SP supporters Mohammad Avshaf, Alam and Mohd. Jaish have been arrested in this connection.
