SP to probe murder of minor boy

A probe into the abduction and killing of a 6-year-old boy will be conducted by Superintendent of Police (Investigation) Gurdaspur Satpal Singh, police said today.
Krishna Bhatia was allegedly murdered after being kidnapped on Thursday evening from here by four persons who dumped the body in Upper Dari Doab canal in Gurdaspur district.
While reviewing law and order situation, the IG Police (Border Range) Lok Nath Angara and DIG (Border Range) Kunwar Partap Singh said two of victim's neighbours, Sunil Kumar and Bikramjit Singh, have been arrested. Three persons have been rounded up for questioning while one is absconding.
Angara said no one would be allowed to create law and order problems and the police would deal with such incidents with an iron hand.

Yesterday, police had fired a few rounds of shots in air to disperse a mob of about 500 locals who pelted stones at a city police station while was protesting against the boy's murder.
