SP state unit president Satyanarayanan Sachan said that a proposal has been sent in this regard to the central leadership.
The party core committee has already discussed the proposal and party patriarch Mulayam Singh Yadav was serious about the matter, he said.
Dimple, MP from Kanauj, was born and brought up at Kodwal in Pauri Garhwal district of Uttarakhand.
On being asked whether she was willing to come back to her home state, Sachan said she is ready to work for the party anywhere, as per the directions of the central leadership.
