SPA to soon begin work on master plan for Vaishnodevi Medical

The School of Planning and Architecture (SPA) will soon commence work on the preparation of a master plan for establishing complexes for Nursing College and Medical College under Shri Mata Vaishnodevi Shrine Board in Katra base camp of Jammu and Kashmir.
"With regard to the preparation of master plan for establishing complexes for Nursing College and Medical College, the School of Planning and Architecture shall commence the work very soon," Chief Executive Officer, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board (SMVDSB) A K Sahu, said.
Governor N N Vohra, chairman of the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board, visited Kakryal and reviewed the functioning of the Super speciality Hospital.
Giving details, he said the hospital became operational April 8.
The hospital has treated over 51,000 patients and nearly 1,100 major surgeries have been performed which include: 58 Heart Surgery; 53 Neuro Surgery; 233 Gastro; 129 Cancer; 241 Ortho and 379 others.
Besides, 209 Coronary Angiographies; 50 Angioplasty have been performed here.
The doctors have side by side held 57 outreach camps in which nearly 11,000 patients were screened and 1,550 referred for treatment.
The Governor also visited other ongoing works in the hospital complex, including police post and other facilities.
