Spanish 'Miss Senorita' now reaches the East shores

Young professionals with sparkle in their eyes walked the ramp in the far eastern edition of the Spanish 'Senorita' beauty pageant, as the beevy of local showbiz mandarins - director Raj Chakraborty and 'Mrs India World' Dimpi Bhagat looked on.
"I am amazed at the poise, grace, style and confidence level of these eastern Senoritas who don't look like rookie ramp strutters. Our Senorita will be different from her Spanish counterparts," the blockbuster 'Proloy', 'Kanamachi' director said on the sidelines of the pageant organized by Lions Club International.
A pageant pro, Mrs India International Dimpy Bhagat said, "The answer of a girl of having been instilled the very essence of womanhood by her mom," showed how our Senoritas are rooted in their values, possessing the sense of pride for being a woman while adaptive to the global fashion trends.

One of the five Miss Senoritas, East, 2013, Priyadarshini Jha, a media professional, said all the five finalists were winners as they all shared the same dreams - of aiming high - up above the clouds, in the constellation.
Priyadarshini, who was adjudged Miss Senorita, 2013, beautiful hair crown, now plans to branch out to anchoring from reporting in a leading national daily.
Celebrated fashion designer Abhisek Dutta, one of the juries, said, "It is very difficult to differentiate among these girls, and I am amazed to see the change over in the confidence level of youngsters over years. Carrying yourself is the most important thing and they all do that with aplomb,"

Top notch producer Shrikant Mohta, basking in the glory of the dream run of string of acclaimed flicks 'Chander Pahar', Apur Panchali and Meghe Dhaka Tara in recent times, and actor Ramanjit Kaur were among the jury.
