Speaker admitted to government hospital for fracture
Press Trust of India Puducherry Speaker of Puducherry Assembly V Vaithilingam was admitted to government hospital here today for treatment of fracture he sustained after a slip at a function in a house in his constituency earlier in the day.
Vaithilingam hit against a stone in the house at Samipillaithottam and fell suffering fracture, sources close to Vaithilingam said.
Director of Health and Family Welfare Services Dr K V Raman told PTI that Vaithilingam sustained fracture in his left leg and was admittted to the special ward.
He had had fracture in his right leg some years ago after a slip in bath room in his house here.
Chief Minister V Narayanasamy, his cabinet colleagues, legislators and officials rushed to the hospital and enquried of the health of the Speaker.
