Speaker calls for all-party meet to resolve Assembly impasse

Himachal Vidhan Sabha Speaker BBL Butail called for an all-party meet tomorrow, the last day of the monsoon session here, to resolve the impasse created in the House.
The Speaker called the session to resolve the impasse created by unpleasant happening in the House on August 28.
Earlier, Butail had convened an all-party meet on August 20 in view of the pandemium prevailing in the Himachal Pradesh Assembly. Chief Minister and leader of Opposition were also invited for the meet, which helped in reducing the areas of conflict.
The session on August 21 started on a peaceful note as the chief minister withdrew his reported remarks and also agreed to cancel the FIR against BJP MLA.

However, the truce proved short lived as tempers ran high and BJP members continued to disrupt the proceedings, which witnessed unpleasant happening on August 28.
