S S Sandhu, Principal Secretary to the Uttarakhand Chief Minister, will be in-charge of the cell, officials said.
The cell will include officials of various departments including Health, Power, Transport and Food and Civil Supplies, they said.
The Chardham comprising Kedarnath, Badrinath, Gangotri and Yamunotri shrines were reopened for pilgrimage in April.
The cell has been set up to ensure that pilgrims are provided with all required facilities, the officials said.
Special accommodation and elaborate security arrangements have been made for worshippers, expected to be around 50 lakh this year, they said. PTI CORR KAS RKC RKC
