The 80 books in the 'Little Black Classics' range are designed to showcase "a treasure trove of stories, poems, essays and ideas."
"...They take us from a balloon ride over Victorian London to a garden of blossom in Japan, from Tierra del Fuego to 16th-century California and the Russian steppe," the publisher said.
There are stories lyrical and savage; poems epic and intimate; essays satirical and inspirational; and ideas that have shaped the lives of millions.
Other titles on the list include "the Gate of the Hundred Sorrow" by Rudyard Kipling, "Aphorisms on Love and Death" by Freidrich Nietzsche and "Dervish at the Door" by Rumi.
