The second installment, slated to release on January 10 next year, is a romantic saga between individuals caught in a web of crime, suspense, passion and deceit. While the maale leads have been retained the new additions are Madhuri Dixit and Huma Qureshi.
Vidya had garnered a lot of appreciation for her performance in 'Ishqiya' as the gritty Krishna but due to the nature of the sequel, she could not continue with the character.
Overwhelmed with the gesture, Vidya said she would love to be part of the trailer launch. But since the trailer launch is not an event but a huge online launch on Facebook, the producers have decided to show her the trailer before going official.
"Vidya has been most gracious and very keen to watch the trailer and even offered to attend the trailer launch but as we are first launching the trailer on the Facebook instead of the conventional launch in a theatre we have offered to hold a special trailer viewing for her at her place," Mansi Maroo of Shemaroo said.
The film is directed by Abhishek Chaubey.
