Beginning December 19, the train will provide children a number of entertaining activities every Saturday and Sunday from 12 PM to 4 PM at the Sikanderpur Metro Station.
"This is for the first time that children can enjoy various activities like puppetry, quiz contests, arts and crafts, magicians in a running metro," Rajiv Bakshi, Vice President, Marketing South-Asia Discovery Network, Asia Pacific said after launching the special metro train.
The joy ride also aims to educate children about history, Indian culture and cleanliness.

The ride lasts for an hour and passes through various metro stations but the doors do not open considering the safety of the kids.
"It took around four-six weeks to conceptualised the whole thing. We had to arrange the working system for the commuters. We have ensured that the ride would not affect the daily passengers," Rajiv Banga, CEO and MD, IL and FS, Rail Limited said.
The initiative which has initially begun for six months would be extended further depending on the response.
"The current plan is for six months and based on the feedback we are going to extend it further," Banga added.
The tickets for the kids are priced at Rs 250 for the children and Rs 100 for the parents accompanying them.
"I really enjoyed this experience. I have learnt many magic tricks and games. I met Kisna, he is my favorite cartoon character. Kisna taught us to stay away from yellow line on the metro platform. Jo koi na kar pae, wo Kisna kar dekhaye (Kisna makes possible what the others cannot do)," Tanu, who had come for the joy ride said.
"I had a fun ride in metro with my favorite superhero. He taught me lot of things and we had great fun together. I played many games and Kisna taught me to respect and obey my parents and follow all safety rules while travelling in the metro," another child said.
