A brainchild of Dakha MLA Manpreet Singh Ayali, the park has also put in place special flood lights for women's safety.
"It was around six months back when I was on a routine visit to the village, the youth urged me to develop a sports park that should have all ultra modern facilities," Ayali told reporters.
He promised 40 more such parks in his constituency, whereas work on 13 of them was already underway.
Besides this, three canopies have been constructed for the villagers to spend their free time in a good ambiance.
Ayali informed that world-class sprinkler systems, grass carpet, fencing and special flood lights have been installed in the park.
For women's safety, the park would be properly lit even at evening and early morning hours, he added.
