In futures trade, copper for delivery in November rose by Rs 1.50, or 0.33 per cent, at Rs 460.50 per kg in a business turnover of 1,713 lots at Multi Commodity Exchange.
Similarly, the metal for delivery in far-month February edged up by Rs 1.40, or 0.30 per cent, at Rs 465.30 per kg in 18 lots.
Analysts said apart from rising demand from domestic consuming industries, firmness in the base metal at the London Metal Exchange (LME), influenced copper futures here.
