In futures trade, copper for delivery in far-month February 2017 rose by Rs 7.75, or 2.12 per cent, at Rs 373.75 per kg in a business turnover of 19 lots at Multi Commodity Exchange.
Similarly, the metal for delivery in November edged up by Rs 7.60, or 2.11 per cent, at Rs 368.35 per kg in 952 lots.
Analysts said apart from rising demand from domestic consuming industries, firmness in the base metals pack at the London Metal Exchange (LME), influenced copper futures here.
