Amid pick up in domestic as well as exports demand in the spot market against restricted arrivals from producing regions, cardamom prices were up by 0.47 per cent to Rs 1,484.10 per kg in futures trade today as speculators created fresh positions.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in March rose by Rs 6.90, or 0.47 per cent, to Rs 1,484.10 per kg, in a business turnover of 29 lots.
Marketmen said fresh positions built up by participants due to uptick in domestic as well as exports demand in the spot market against restricted supplies from producing regions, mainly attributed the rise in cardamom prices at futures trade.
