Spot demand lifts chana futures by 0.70%
Press Trust of India New Delhi Chana prices were up by 0.70 per cent to Rs 6,152 per quintal in futures market today as participants created fresh positions, driven by pick up in demand at the spot market.
Besides, restricted supplies from producing belts also added support to chana prices' uptrend.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, chana for delivery in July rose by Rs 43, or 0.70 per cent, to Rs 6,152 per quintal, with an open interest of 6,280 lots.
In a similar fashion, the commodity for delivery in June traded higher by Rs 35, or 0.58 per cent, to Rs 6,058 per quintal in 15,390 lots.
