Copper futures traded 0.31 per cent higher at Rs 440.75 per kg today as speculators raised bets amid rising spot demand.

In futures trade, copper for delivery in November rose by Rs 1.35, or 0.31 per cent, at Rs 440.75 per kg in a business turnover of 1,059 lots at Multi Commodity Exchange.

Similarly, the metal for delivery in February edged up by Rs 1.20, or 0.27 per cent, at Rs 445.35 per kg in 15 lots.

Analysts said, rising demand from domestic consuming industries at the spot markets, influenced copper futures here.
