Spot demand lifts mentha oil futures by 0.42%

Amid rising demand from consuming industries in the spot market and restricted supplies from producing regions, mentha oil prices were up by 0.42 per cent to Rs 827.60 per kg in futures trade today.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in March month edged higher by Rs 3.50, or 0.42 per cent to Rs 827.60 per kg in business turnover of 59 lots.
Similarly, the oil for delivery in April contracts traded up by Rs 1.80, or 0.22 per cent to Rs 836.60 per kg in 65 lots.
Analysts said besides pick up in demand from consuming industries in the spot market, restricted supplies from Chandausi in Uttar Pradesh mainly supported the upside in mentha oil prices at futures trade.
