Refined soya oil prices were trading up by 0.40 per cent to Rs 684.25 per 10 kg in futures market today as participants built up fresh positions, driven by pick up in demand in the spot market.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in December went up by Rs 2.75, or 0.40 per cent, to Rs 684.25 per 10 kg with an open interest of 24,220 lots.
Similarly, the oil for delivery in November traded higher by Rs 2.45, or 0.36 per cent, to Rs 676.10 per 10 kg in 41,500 lots.
Analysts said fresh positions created by traders due to pick-up in demand in the physical market against restricted supplies from growing regions mainly influenced refined soya oil prices at futures trade.
