Refined soya oil prices edged higher by 0.28 per cent to Rs 745.80 per 10 kg in futures trade today as speculators created fresh bets, taking positive cues from spot market on uptick in demand.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in March rose Rs 2.10, or 0.28 per cent, to Rs 745.80 per 10 kg with an open interest of 25,390 lots.
On similar lines, the oil for delivery in February contracts edged up by Rs 1.55, or 0.21 per cent, to Rs 746.20 per 10 kg in 38,340 lots.
Analysts said fresh positions built up by traders after pick up in demand in the physical market against tight stocks position on fall in supplies from producing belts led to the rise in refined soya oil prices.
