Supported by pick up in demand at spot market and decline in arrivals from producing regions, refined soya oil prices were up by 0.61 per cent to Rs 613.80 per 10 kg in futures trade today.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in February month next year rose by Rs 3.75, or 0.61 per cent to Rs 613.80 per 10 kg with an open interest of 72,550 lots.
Likewise, the oil for delivery in January contracts traded higher by Rs 3.30, or 0.54 per cent to Rs 618.50 per 10 kg in 84,500 lots.
Analysts attributed the rise in refined soya oil prices at futures trade to fresh positions built up by traders after pick up in demand in the spot market.
