Refined soya oil prices were up by 0.63 per cent to Rs 648.15 per 10 kg in futures market today as speculators raised their bets amid uptick in demand in the spot market.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in August month rose by Rs 4.05 or 0.63 per cent to Rs 648.15 per 10 kg with an open interest of 99,690 lots.
The oil for delivery in July contracts traded higher by Rs 3.85 or 0.60 per cent to Rs 641.30 per 10 kg in 64,360 lots.
Analysts said widening of positions by participants supported by pick up in demand in the spot market against restricted supplies from producing regions mainly led to the rise in refined soya oil prices at futures trade.
