Spot demand lifts refined soya oil futures by 0.93%

Refined soya oil prices moved up by 0.93 per cent to Rs 653.80 per 10 kg in futures trade today as participants indulged in creating fresh positions, taking positive cues from spot market on uptick in demand.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in April month rose Rs 6.05, or 0.93 per cent, to Rs 653.80 per 10 kg with an open interest of 52,420 lots.
On similar lines, the oil for delivery in March contracts was higher by 5.80, or 0.88 per cent, to Rs 662.50 per 10 kg in 30,270 lots.
Analysts said building up of fresh positions by traders following upsurge in demand in the spot market against fall in arrivals from producing belts, mainly attributed the rise in refined soya oil prices at futures trade.
