The movie was previously awarded best picture by critics in Los Angeles, San Francisco and Boston, among others, and is considered a top contender at this year's Academy Awards.
"Creed" star Michael B Jordan was named best actor and British star Charlotte Rampling was honoured as best actress for her role in 45 Years, while supporting actor awards went to Mark Rylance ("Bridge of Spies") and Kristen Stewart ("Clouds of Sils Maria").
