Square Yards acquires architecture firm Oryden Tech Labs

Realty startup Square Yards today said it has acquired a creative and design studio Oryden Tech Labs for an undisclosed amount.
The entire team of Ahmedabad-based Oryden Tech Labs will join Square Yards.
Oryden Tech Labs specialises in 3D architectural designs, process visualisation, digital walk through and virtual reality, Gurgaon-based Square Yards said in a statement.
"Digital is increasingly becoming the game changer in real estate industry with concepts like interactive visualisations, virtual realty and AR helping users to imagine their future home before moving in. Bringing in Oryden under the Square Yards umbrella will help us enhance our design and innovation bandwidth," Square Yards CEO Tanuj Shori said.
This is the third acquisition in a year for Square Yards, which had acquired Realizing.In and LUXE. The latter was a Singapore-based luxury realty agency whereas the former was an innovative search and discovery portal acclaimed for having best of algorithmic and analytics based property research.
Founded by Keyur Bhalavat, an IIM-Ahmedabad alumnus and Ravi Patel, a design specialist, Oryden started as a 3D architectural design studio but soon ventured into various other design services like industrial process design and virtual reality setups for products and buildings.
Square Yards, which is into property transactions, has presence in 21 cities with an employee strength of more than 900.
