Realty portal Square Yards today said it has expanded its presence in the Malaysian market by opening another office in Kuala Lumpur.
Along with the international expansion, the company is also expanding in upcountry and tier 2 locations within India and has opened eight new offices in cities like Lucknow, Kanpur, Patna, Ghaziabad, Dehradun, Meerut, Varanasi and Allahabad, Square Yards said in a statement here.
With this expansion, Square Yards has now extended its reach to 10 countries and 32 cities across the world. It already has offices in major international hubs such as Dubai, Singapore, Hong Kong, London, Sydney and Toronto, among others.
"Malaysia has a sizeable Indian Diaspora of almost two million, many of whom would prefer investing back in India. We would also be assisting them in considering local Malaysian properties as well as other attractive international property options such the UAE, Singapore and Australia," Square Yards Principal Partner Sopan Gupta said.
On the domestic front, he said, "Affordable housing is what is driving housing demand in Tier 2 cities. Many new housing projects in these cities offer ticket sizes that fit within the parameters of affordable housing.
"These projects are sought after not only by local residents, but also investors from metros and overseas. With our network of offices, we will be able to provide seamless services to such investors."
Going forward, the company plans to increase its footprint to 15 more tier 2 cities in India and at least five more international cities, Gupta said.
