"There are enough senior members in the Bar to guide the younger members. The yearning of younger members of the Bar is palpable. The senior members must provide leadership in the Bar and give opportunities to the youngsters. It is their bounden duty," he said.
Justice Kaul, who was among five new judges appointed to the Supreme Court yesterday, was speaking at a farewell function at the High Court.
"My appeal to younger members of the Bar is to take the opportunities which come their way," he said.
Pointing out that courts are the temples of justice, he said it has to remain open for litigants to knock on its doors at any time, as otherwise their faith in it would be shaken.

Lawyers are officers of the Court meant to advance the cause of justice by prosecuting the case of their clients.
Describing his elevation as Supreme Court Judge as another journey, he said "it is an opportunity to paint another picture... To write another book. A Judge's contributions are through his writings."
Earlier Advocate General R Muthukumaraswamy praised Kaul for being instrumental in increasing strength of High Court Judges from 60 to 75 and taking steps to fill vacancies of Judges.
He had directed the Central Government to provide CISF security cover to the Court after revamping security system in the premises by declaring it a High Security Zone, he said.
