Chemical firm SRF Ltd today reported 8 per cent increase in its consolidated net profit at Rs 104.70 crore for the third quarter ended December 31.
Its net profit stood at Rs 96.88 crore in the year-ago period, the company said in a filing to the BSE.
Income from operations rose to Rs 1,205.45 crore in the third quarter of this fiscal from Rs 1,165.21 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year.
Commenting on the results, company's MD Ashish Bharat Ram said: "This has been a quiet quarter for the company. The chemicals business continued to feel the impact of global weakness from the agrochemical sector. However on the positive side, our pipeline of products is robust to meet the future requirements."
SRF is a chemical based multi-business entity engaged in the manufacturing of industrial intermediates. The company's diversified business portfolio covers technical textiles, fluorochemicals, specialty chemicals, packaging films and engineering plastics.
